© Carolina Baurmann / Horse Conversations. All rights reserved.

Unless expressly stated otherwise, all rights remain with Carolina Baurmann / Horse Conversations.

2. Personal Use Only

Unless a different licence has been expressly granted, materials provided by Horse Conversations are licensed solely for the personal use of the person who purchased, booked or lawfully received them.

Purchasing a product, booking a service or receiving a document does not transfer copyright or ownership of the intellectual property contained within it.

The customer receives only a limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the material for the purpose for which it was provided.

3. Prohibited Uses

Without prior express permission from Horse Conversations, it is not permitted to reproduce, distribute, publish or otherwise exploit protected material in whole or in substantial part.

In particular, it is not permitted to:

  • copy or reproduce materials for other persons,

  • forward PDFs, e-books, worksheets or course materials,

  • upload protected content to websites, platforms, cloud folders or file-sharing services,

  • distribute content through email, messenger services or social media,

  • publish screenshots or scans of substantial parts of protected materials,

  • present Horse Conversations content as one’s own,

  • remove or obscure copyright notices, names, logos or source references,

  • sell, resell or commercially distribute protected materials,

  • include protected materials in another product,

  • use protected materials to create competing commercial offers,

  • translate protected content and publish or distribute the translation,

  • modify protected material and distribute the resulting version,

  • reproduce illustrations, graphics or diagrams,

  • record and distribute paid video or audio content,

  • share access to online courses, memberships or digital libraries,

  • or otherwise make protected material available to third parties.

This does not affect uses expressly permitted by mandatory copyright law.

4. Use by Trainers, Coaches, Consultants and Equine Professionals

Purchasing a product, attending a course or participating in professional education from Horse Conversations does not automatically grant permission to use the provided materials in one’s own professional services.

In particular, trainers, coaches, consultants, therapists, equine professionals, riding schools, yards, educational institutions and other businesses may not reproduce or distribute Horse Conversations materials to their own clients, students or participants without an additional licence.

This applies in particular to:

  • worksheets,

  • handouts,

  • illustrations,

  • graphics,

  • presentations,

  • training plans,

  • course materials,

  • written explanations,

  • exercises,

  • video content,

  • audio content,

  • and educational resources.

The knowledge and skills learned may of course be applied professionally, provided this does not involve copying or distributing protected materials or falsely presenting Horse Conversations materials as one’s own intellectual creation.

For professional reproduction, teaching use or distribution, a separate commercial or educational licence must be agreed in advance.

5. Individual Consultations and Training Plans

Documents prepared specifically for an individual client and horse, including training plans, behavioural assessments and written recommendations, may be used by that client for the care, management and training of the horse concerned.

Where reasonably necessary, such documents may also be shared with professionals directly involved in the care of that specific horse, for example:

  • veterinarians,

  • physiotherapists,

  • hoof-care professionals,

  • saddle fitters,

  • trainers,

  • behaviour professionals.

This permission does not include the right to publish the document, reuse it for other clients, turn it into teaching material or commercially exploit it.

6. Quotations and References

Short quotations may be used where permitted by applicable copyright law and where the legal requirements for quotation are fulfilled.

Where a quotation is used, the source and authorship should be clearly identified.

A reference such as:

Carolina Baurmann / Horse Conversations

does not by itself grant permission to reproduce material that would otherwise require authorisation.

Attribution is not a substitute for permission.

7. Social Media Sharing

Links to publicly available Horse Conversations content may be shared.

Users may also use native platform sharing functions, such as sharing a Horse Conversations post or reel through the relevant social media platform.

However, downloading, copying and republishing original content as a separate post, carousel, graphic, video, article or other publication is not permitted without prior permission.

This applies even where Horse Conversations is tagged or named as the source.

8. Illustrations, Graphics and Artwork

Original illustrations, drawings, diagrams and visual materials created for Horse Conversations are protected works.

They may not be:

  • copied,

  • traced,

  • redrawn for publication,

  • digitally reproduced,

  • altered and redistributed,

  • used as teaching material,

  • printed on merchandise,

  • incorporated into websites or publications,

  • or otherwise commercially or publicly used

without prior permission.

Creating a visually similar reproduction based substantially on a protected original may also infringe intellectual property rights.

9. Books and E-books

Purchasing a physical or digital book grants the purchaser the right to personally read and use that copy.

It does not grant the right to:

  • scan or digitise the book,

  • distribute digital copies,

  • copy substantial sections,

  • reproduce illustrations,

  • share an e-book file,

  • upload the book to online platforms,

  • distribute translated versions,

  • or reuse substantial parts in another publication, course or commercial product.

The statutory limitations and exceptions under applicable copyright law remain unaffected.

10. Online Courses and Digital Learning Content

Access to online courses, video libraries and digital learning materials is personal unless another licence is expressly offered.

Login details may not be shared with other persons.

Course content may not be recorded, downloaded, copied or redistributed unless a download or other use has expressly been made available for that purpose.

One purchased access does not constitute a group, household, team or business licence unless expressly stated.

11. Recordings

Participants may not make audio, video, screen or other recordings of:

  • online consultations,

  • live calls,

  • webinars,

  • workshops,

  • courses,

  • presentations,

  • training sessions,

  • or paid digital content

without prior express permission.

This restriction also applies to automatic transcription, recording or meeting-assistant services where they create or store copies of protected content.

12. Artificial Intelligence and Automated Processing

Non-public, paid or otherwise restricted Horse Conversations materials may not be uploaded to or processed through generative AI systems without prior express permission where this would involve reproducing, storing, analysing or reusing substantial protected content beyond what is legally permitted.

In particular, such materials may not be used without permission for:

  • training AI models,

  • fine-tuning models,

  • building private or commercial datasets,

  • creating knowledge bases,

  • systematic text or image extraction,

  • automated scraping,

  • generating substitute or competing course materials,

  • generating derivative commercial publications,

  • or reproducing protected illustrations, concepts or educational materials at scale.

This applies in particular to:

  • books,

  • e-books,

  • course materials,

  • workbooks,

  • illustrations,

  • training plans,

  • presentations,

  • and private client resources.

Mandatory statutory exceptions remain unaffected.

13. Text and Data Mining Reservation

To the extent permitted by law, Horse Conversations expressly reserves the rights relating to text and data mining of publicly accessible protected works.

Automated extraction, reproduction or analysis of protected Horse Conversations content for the purpose of text and data mining, machine learning, dataset creation or comparable automated exploitation is not authorised where such use may legally be reserved by the rights holder.

14. Commercial Licences and Permissions

If you would like to use Horse Conversations material for:

  • a course,

  • a workshop,

  • a publication,

  • an educational programme,

  • a professional presentation,

  • a commercial business,

  • a website,

  • a podcast or video,

  • or another public or professional project,

please request permission in advance.

Depending on the intended use, Horse Conversations may grant an individual licence specifying, for example:

  • the material that may be used,

  • the permitted purpose,

  • the duration of the licence,

  • the territory,

  • the number of users or participants,

  • whether modifications are permitted,

  • whether commercial use is permitted,

  • and any applicable licence fee.

Permission must be granted expressly before the material is used.

15. Third-Party Content

Where Horse Conversations uses content created by third parties, the respective copyright, trademark and other intellectual property rights remain with those rights holders.

Such content is used only where an appropriate licence, permission or legal basis exists.

No rights in third-party works are transferred to customers or website users through Horse Conversations.

16. Trademarks, Names and Branding

The name Horse Conversations, associated logos, branding elements and other distinctive business identifiers may be protected by trademark, name or competition law.

They may not be used in a manner that falsely suggests:

  • a partnership,

  • endorsement,

  • certification,

  • affiliation,

  • authorship,

  • or official relationship with Horse Conversations.

17. Infringements

If protected Horse Conversations content is used without permission, Horse Conversations reserves the right to pursue the legal remedies available under applicable law.

Depending on the circumstances, these may include claims for:

  • removal of infringing material,

  • cessation and injunctive relief,

  • information about the extent of use,

  • surrender or destruction of unlawful copies,

  • reimbursement of legal costs where applicable,

  • and damages.

Where appropriate, an infringing party may also be requested to provide a legally binding undertaking to cease and desist.

18. No Implied Permission

The fact that content is publicly accessible online does not mean that it is free to copy, reproduce or commercially reuse.

Likewise, the absence of a visible copyright notice on an individual page, image or document does not mean that copyright protection has been waived.

Any licence or permission must be expressly granted unless a particular use is already permitted by law.
