Clicker training isn’t just a „nice to have“ or for tricks. It’s the training method for genuine cooperation, motivation, and enjoyment.
In this mini course, I’ll show you step by step how to structure your first five sessions so that you and your horse can immediately feel the difference.
This very belief holds many people back and horses in limiting systems.
But what if I told you that R+ has absolutely nothing to do with „tricks“?
It’s about how horses learn – and how you can consciously and fairly guide this learning process.
With positive reinforcement:
This makes clicker training not an „extra,“ but the foundation of all training.
Whether you ride dressage, do groundwork, or want to load your horse stress-free.
You know that clicker training is „good“ and „horse-friendly.“
So you give it a try: You grab a clicker, a bag of healthy treats, and get started.
But you quickly realize:
You ask yourself: „Am I even doing this right? Or am I ruining something?“
Instead of fun, you feel stressed. And that’s exactly where most people give up.
Not because clicker training doesn’t work – but because without a plan or guidance, you fall right into the typical traps.

I’m really happy that now I can better understand how horses think and learn. It truly changes the way you treat and train horses, making the process enjoyable for both of you.
Your presentation is beautifully done visually and the content itself is presented in a manner that is clear and digestible! So far I’ve enjoyed it and love the emphasis on the mental and emotional pieces of training right in the beginning.
🔥🔥 Carolina, you created the best course I’ve ever been on. I’m still at the first chapters, but it’s a clear, to the point, holistic and with great graphics. Love it! Thank you!! 🤩
Due to work commitments, I’m working through it slowly but I’m enjoying it immensely. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for for ages. Thank you so much! :))
No. You don’t need special halters, „magic sticks,“ or flags.
Positive reinforcement training requires knowledge, timing, and cooperation – not complicated equipment.
A treat bag can be handy, but otherwise, well-fitting, simple basic equipment is perfectly sufficient.
All horses can learn with positive reinforcement.
What’s more, it’s exactly how horses learn naturally.
Whether you have a youngster, an inexperienced pony, or a horse that’s been in training for years; positive reinforcement isn’t limited to a specific type of horse. Don’t let anyone tell you myths about certain breeds being unsuitable 😉
Yes and no. Food is one of the simplest and most powerful reinforcers we can use. But there are precise instructions, techniques, and methods for successfully and stress-free incorporating food. Simply feeding treats is not positive reinforcement.
We mostly don’t work with „treats“ but with simple feed, also called „low value,“ such as hay cubes, alfalfa, or just hay.
As clicker training progresses and the trainer and horse’s skill increases, the feed actually becomes less important. We still use it, but in smaller increments.
Especially then!
Positive reinforcement is not only suitable for changing unwanted behavior, but above all for building desired behavior in a pleasant and fair way.
From loading and relaxed leading on a loose lead to calm grooming or gymnastic groundwork,
R+ brings structure, clarity, and motivation to your daily training.
It deepens your partnership, even (or especially) when nothing is „going wrong.“
Not at all – it’s all designed with that in mind.
You don’t need to be a behaviour expert or trainer to understand it.
Everything is explained clearly and understandably, with simple examples, exercises and practical tips that guide you step by step.
You’ll think to yourself: Why has no one ever explained this to me like this before?
